(a) A voltage of $\mathrm{v}=100 \sin (314 \mathrm{t}+0)$ is applied across a resistance and inductance in series . A current of $10 \sin (314 t-\pi / 6)$ flows through the circuit. Calculate the value of R and L of the circuit. Also calculate power and power factor. 8
Explanation
To find R and L, we used the voltage and current equations. We then calculated power and power factor using the given values. The two wattmeter method is used to measure three phase power and it has the advantage of measuring power in any power factor.
